Children’s mental health By the end of the course participants will have discussed: •Some of the commonly held misconceptions surrounding mental health, especially in children •What mental health/mental illness means •Some common diagnoses in children •Overlap with ASC and LD •What can affect children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing •What signs to look out for when concerned about an individual’s mental health •What protects, promotes and supports mental health •Resources that can help support mental health and wellbeing
