Detail:

Introducing a formulation-based approach to multi-agency and partnership working for children and families in Hereford.

Formulation is a psychologically informed, strength-based approach to understanding, planning, implementing, and evaluating our work with children, families and other professionals. It is rooted in relational practice and can provide a unified and inclusive approach to help us make sense of things together.

Using this approach we can develop a shared language; draw on multiple perspectives and analyse information thoroughly and objectively in order to create collaborative plans that support families and professionals to meet their goals and achieve positive change.

Over the coming weeks we are aiming to bring together as many people as possible from the various partner agencies working with children and families in Hereford and introduce the methods and tools that we can use to enable the effective use of a formulation approach to ultimately improve outcomes.

Following our round of online briefing sessions held earlier in November we would like to invite you to join us at the Assembly Room, Hereford Town Hall where you can experience the approach alongside multi-agency colleagues, and we will tell you more about what has worked in other places.

The launch events will be taking place on Monday 25th November:

  • Morning session 9:00am to 12:00 noon
  • Afternoon session 1:00pm to 4:00pm
