This is a two part course, both parts need to be attended in order for you to complete the course.

This course is delivered over two sessions on how to deliver a substance misuse brief intervention to young people. It is a discussion based course learning specific skills to engage young people around their substance use and work with ambivalence. It also looks at how we manage substance use when it is beyond a brief intervention.

  2. Working with ambivalence, the cycle of change and motivational interviewing
  3. Delivering brief interventions
  4. When is it a problem, screening and working with risk.
