Family Time
Family Time can be very important in helping children develop their sense of identity and understand their lives.
By the end of the course participants will have discussed:
- The legal framework
- The difficulties of contact for carers and birth parents
- The importance of contact for children
- Preparing and supporting children who may find contact difficult and emotional.
- The responsibility of carers to provide the support that has been agreed
- The expectations for carers to support contact in a range of settings and circumstances when appropriate
- Any personal challenges and how to plan for this
- Contact in the digital age-challenges and opportunities
- A personal development plan to put in place with their Supervising Social Worker
