Transitions and School Readiness

Helping children make a smooth transition into school.

This training will help you understand what school readiness is and how to offer support through this process.

• Define what is meant by school readiness
• Be aware of the process of school preparation and supporting school transitions
• Learn about activities that can be done at home to support development in the three prime areas of: Communication and Language; Personal, Social and Emotional Development and Physical development.
• Learn about the benefits of having opportunities and activities beyond the school day to engage in which promote learning.
