Legal Training module 2 – The role of social workers in Private Law proceedings.

What can parents/carers (with parental responsibility) do when they disagree?  This learning activity focuses on Section 8 orders and the role of social workers in producing Section 7 and Section 37 reports.  We will consider a case study and explore how to prepare a robust  Section 7 and Section 37 assessment and consider the recommendations of the 2020 report “Assessing risk of harm to children and parents in Private Law children cases”.

This learning activity is one of six learning activities (modules) being offered by the Social Care Academy as a Legal Training programme.  It is expected that workers will attend all six learning activities.
