This is a MULTI-AGENCY Training Course. THIS COURSE IS OPEN TO THOSE WHO WORK WITH AND FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS IN HEREFORDSHIRE

This is a two day course and attendees have to attend both days.

An essential course for multi-agency professionals in Herefordshire to get to know the Signs of Safety approach in children’s social care and to think through how they can use the Signs of Safety/Wellbeing/Success model in their every-day practice or when they are working alongside children’s social care. Herefordshire Council is adopting Signs of Safety as its core practice model for children’s social care. This training will explain Signs of Safety as a practice framework and introduce professionals to the tools, language and approach when working with children and families across the spectrum of Early Help to care experienced young people.

Objectives/Outcome from the course:

  • Basic understanding of the Signs of Safety approach, language and tools
  • Understand how Signs of Safety can be applied in different circumstances when working with children
  • Feel confident in using Signs of Safety with children at an Early Help level
  • Feel confident in using Signs of Safety with children where there are safeguarding concerns, and with care experienced children

A cancellation policy will apply. All agencies will be required to pay for cancellations with less than 7 working days’ notice and for on the day no shows. The cancellation charges will be £60 for a full day course and £30 for a half day or less course.
