Graded Care Profile 2 – Refresher Training

This course is for practitioner who have already completed GCP2 training and have experience of using the tool. The refresher training is designed to strengthen your skills and knowledge in completing a Graded Care Profile 2 with families where child neglect is a concern.

Aims:

• Strengthen GCP2 practitioners’ knowledge and skills in using GCP2 with families
• Reflect on use of GCP2 tool – what is going well, where are the challenges, what are you unsure of?
• Revisit the GCP2 case study, a few months on for the family – what should happen now?
• Consider ways to ensure that the GCP2 is having a positive impact for children and families.

Target Audience: This course is for practitioners who have already completed GCP2 training and have experience of using the tool with families. If you completed GCP2 a long time ago, or if you have not used the tool for some time, it is most likely best that you re-take the Graded Care Profile 2 training, rather than attending this refresher course.
